The Cardigans

March 27, 1992 - April 18, 1992

The play, written by Rick Lewis, is the male version of his earlier piece – The Taffetas.  At the time it was selected by the Repertory Company, it was as yet unpublished and still in development.  The company had hoped to produce a similar boy-group piece but it was not available for community theater yet (that production came later!).  Special arrangements were made with Mr. Lewis for the Repertory Company to be the first group outside of New York to produce The Cardigans.  The show was chock-full of great 1950’s music and with the great group of musically talented actors to play The Cardigans, the audience was treated to a “swell” evening of nostalgia and harmony with “those Swingin’ Singin’ Guys From Alpha Mu Phi Pi.”
